I offered this together with a bunch of other packages for my birthday. I'm lovely excellent at modeling and I best do Revell equipments. Most of Revell's ship kits do now not need excellent matchs, I've best constructed two that didn't have concerns. Needless to claim there a few minor issues on this kit. The hull is on hand in two items and that it took some superglue and C clamps to get them collectively proper. Also the island has some problems, but with some creativity it can be simply mounted. I used Krylon grey primer and Testors enamel flat black for the hull and flight deck. For the choppers I dry brushed with olive drab and dry brushed the little automobiles with yellow and purple. I bought this model to position along facet my son. I sailed on the Tarawa once I was once within the Marines, and I thought it could be a fun mission for my son and I to do together. Alas, when the object arrived, it's EXTREMELY small. Also, that sections that should snap collectively simply don't. The pegs and holes are so small that they do not snap collectively in any respect. The whole adaptation needs to be glued collectively. Just a used to bete of cash for me.
